Located in Anting, Shanghai, the MEB factory is the first specialized auto-factory of Volkswagen built for producing pure electric vehicles worldwide, with an annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles. The main products are ID. Series electric vehicles. The first vehicle has been offline in November 2019, and the plant is supposed to complete construction and put into production in 2020.
