BYD's Thailand Factory Project Contracted by Automotive Engineering Corporation is officially completed and put into operation

On the morning of July 4, BYD held a ceremony for the completion and production commissioning of its Thai factory and its 8 millionth new energy vehicle coming off the production line in Rayong, Thailand.

On the morning of July 4, BYD held a ceremony for the completion and production commissioning of its Thai factory and its 8 millionth new energy vehicle coming off the production line in Rayong, Thailand. As the general contractor of the project, leaders including Dai Min, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Automotive Engineering Corporation, and Xu Zhijun, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, were invited to attend the ceremony.

 

 

BYD's Thailand factory covers 630,000 square meters, including four major process workshops and part workshops, an administrative center, dormitory buildings, etc., totaling 33 individual buildings. Automotive Engineering Corporation has undertaken the overall design, construction of civil works and public facilities of the factory, as well as the general contracting for welding, final assembly, painting, sewage treatment station, and IT system, which is the largest EPC project for an automotive factory undertaken by Automotive Engineering Corporation so far. The project team of Automotive Engineering Corporation has successfully achieved the established goals of the project and set a new benchmark for overseas project delivery through elaborate planning, rigorous organization, strict control, and overcoming of difficulties.

 

 

On the afternoon of July 4, Automotive Engineering Corporation held a discussion with outstanding partners mainly consisting of localized suppliers. The attending representatives offered advice and suggestions on current and future cooperation with Automotive Engineering Corporation. Zhang Weixin, President of the Automotive Engineering Corporation Architectural Engineering Institute II, answered the questions raised by the representatives. Xu Zhijun expressed gratitude to all participating parties for their efforts and expressed expectations for common development and win-win results to strategic partners. In his concluding speech, Dai Min, combined with the overseas development strategy of Automotive Engineering Corporation, put forward new requirements and expectations for future cooperation.
