Volvo Cars global procurement team visited AE
On May 29, a group of 7 members from Volvo Cars global procurement team visited AE for communication. Dai Min, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of AE, Chen Yong, Deputy General Manager, Xu Zhijun, Deputy General Manager, Wang Zhiping, General manager assistant, as well as the leaders of Manufacture Engineering Institute and Painting Engineering Institute participated in the reception.
During the meeting, AE team made a detailed introduction of the company, the business development of Manufacture Engineering Institute and Painting Engineering Institute and the overseas strategy of AE. While the Volvo team made an introduction to the future strategic development plan of Volvo Cars and put forward expectations for the future in-depth cooperation with AE.
Meanwhile, Chairman Dai Min reviewed the cooperation history between AE and Volvo Cars in the past 12 years, as well as the growth and value achieved by both parties. He introduced the strategic vision of AE as a "Global Engineering System Value Service Provider", aimed at future high resilience and sustainable automotive engineering planning and construction concepts, and the ability to provide "efficient, flexible, intelligent, and green" production line equipment. The delivery capability of "high quality, optimal cost, short cycle, and fast iteration", as well as the overseas strategy and resource support concept, and he looks forward to the long-term cooperation between AE and Volvo Cars in the future.
In this investigation, the Volvo team also visited AE’s equipment production line business integration base of R&D, Testing and Manufacturing, and got an overall understanding of the core capabilities of the full cycle and full value chain of AE, and gave highly recognized and evaluated. Both parties agreed to continue to deepen cooperation on a global scale in the future and look forward to exploring and expanding more cooperation in new fields such as batteries and new energy.
