At the same time, an in-depth case report distilled from the report, focusing on the "Green Intelligent Manufacturing" dimension, showcased AE's ESG practices. It received extensive attention and reprints from authoritative media including China.com, YNET.com, Sina.com, Ifeng.com, and Pedaily, eliciting positive responses across the industry.
The original case report reads as follows:
From "Building Factories" to "Cultivating Ecosystems": Sinomach Auto's New Paradigm of Green Intelligent Manufacturing under the Belt and Road Initiative
The case report focuses on benchmark practices of Automotive Engineering Corporation in exporting green intelligent manufacturing overseas. It illustrates how the company has promoted a full-chain carbon reduction system — covering "green design—low-carbon construction—intelligent operation & maintenance" — to Belt and Road countries such as Thailand, Kazakhstan, and Hungary, achieving a leap from single-project delivery to local ecosystem co-development, vividly interpreting the progression from "building factories" to "cultivating ecosystems."
In terms of systematic output, Sinomach Auto has achieved a leap of Chinese green intelligent manufacturing solutions from individual projects to multiple regions and clients.
In Southeast Asia, the BYD Thailand plant serves as a concentrated demonstration of AE's systematic carbon-reduction capabilities. Facing Thailand's long rainy season and high-temperature, high-humidity climate, AE implemented context-specific solutions including external building drainage systems, natural ventilation designs, and BIM-based spatial management optimization, and fully replaced traditional wet spray booths with its self-developed cardboard dry spray booth system. After commissioning, the plant achieved a 30% reduction in production lighting energy consumption, 100% compliance with VOC and welding fume emissions standards, and over 63% reduction in solid waste, becoming a benchmark overseas green factory.
In Central Asia, the Astana plant in Kazakhstan, as a key achievement along the Belt and Road, involved AE delivering a full-chain solution from overall planning to supplying core process equipment for the three major workshops. Energy-saving processes were embedded from the planning stage, filling a gap in Kazakhstan's high-level automotive manufacturing sector.
In Europe, for BMW's F100 paint shop in Hungary, AE integrated AGV intelligent transport, precise robot waxing, and multiple core energy-saving technologies into the design. The shop has been praised by the client as "one of the most advanced paint shops currently planned internationally." Through such systematic output, AE's full-chain carbon-reduction capabilities are now ready for cross-regional, multi-scenario application. At the same time, local capabilities have been cultivated through targeted skill training, creating over 6,000 jobs along the industrial chain, realizing the transition from "building factories" to "cultivating ecosystems," and setting a new benchmark for green factory construction along the Belt and Road.

In terms of core technology breakthroughs and standard-setting leadership, Sinomach Auto overcomes "bottleneck" constraints through technological innovation and takes the lead in setting standards, providing a solid technological foundation and regulatory authority for green intelligent manufacturing.
AE operates four equipment R&D and manufacturing centers with a gross floor area exceeding 300,000 m². Among these, paint shop and final assembly equipment line system solutions are globally leading, providing strong support for the independent R&D of green equipment.
Breakthroughs in green equipment: AE has independently developed a cardboard dry spray booth system that requires no water circulation. This system has been validated at NIO's Second Advanced Manufacturing Base, helping it become the world's first automotive factory to simultaneously obtain the Green Industrial Building 3-Star rating, LEED Gold certification, and net-zero carbon certification, achieving significant emission reductions. Meanwhile, in the Huachen BMW NEX body workshop (Phase II) project, AE incorporated China and Germany dual standards, integrating high-efficiency energy-saving, green environmental protection, modular design, and BIM applications to create a modern automotive body assembly and welding workshop. These benchmark projects fully demonstrate AE's international leadership in the field of green equipment.
Clean energy applications: The Xiaomi Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Base project established a large rooftop distributed photovoltaic power station, while simultaneously building an intelligent energy-saving system and implementing green building standards, with similar solutions replicated in overseas projects such as in Thailand. The Dongfeng Motor foundry renovation project adopted advanced equipment and lean design, strictly complying with the national casting industry performance rating A-level standard, helping the factory become the only A-level enterprise in Hubei Province's heavily polluted weather key industries.
Standard-setting leadership: AE participated in the first international series standard formulation in the field of casting machinery, with some proposals filling international gaps. At the same time, it led the drafting of two national standards in the field of casting machinery for the first time. AE is transitioning from being an "excellent performer" in global markets to an "important contributor" in industry technical rule-making. The independent breakthroughs in key technologies and the enhanced authority in standards have enabled Sinomach Auto to promote China's green technologies globally and convert environmental advantages into industrial competitiveness.
In terms of collaborative ecosystem building, Sinomach Auto has established a deeply integrated innovation network of industry, academia, and research, fostering sustainable development momentum.
Platform infrastructure: In 2025, AE officially launched its Suzhou branch and Innovation Center, focusing on four areas: intelligent manufacturing and new equipment, digitalization and industrial software, intelligent control and core algorithms, as well as frontier technologies and new business incubation, becoming a core engine for exploring the "second growth curve."
Collaborative mechanisms: AE deeply participates in industrial chain construction, leveraging its leadership as a "chain leader" and technical guide, leading joint research initiatives to help partners overcome technological bottlenecks and enhance product capabilities.
Value integration: AE has formed a closely linked network with over one hundred local enterprises, and jointly established the "Tianjin Automotive Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Innovation Consortium" with Tianjin University, Hebei University of Technology, and Tianjin University of Technology. As the "chain leader" enterprise, AE is responsible for proposing technical requirements and application scenarios, universities focus on technology R&D, and research institutes assist in standards development. Through complementary advantages and collaborative innovation among the three parties, the regional industrial innovation capacity has been significantly enhanced, achieving a transition from "individual efforts" to "co-created ecosystems." Through multi-dimensional linkage of platform building, collaborative mechanisms, and value integration, Sinomach Auto has constructed an open and win-win innovation ecosystem, providing systematic support for industrial chain collaborative upgrading.
Green competitiveness effectively translated into business performance, with carbon reduction achievements resonating in step with economic growth.
In 2025, AE continued to increase its environmental protection investment.
