Dai Min Leads a Delegation to Kazakhstan to Visit ASTANA Group Executives and Inspect the Project Site

From January 22 to 23, Dai Min, Chairman of Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd. and Automotive Engineering Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "AE"), led a delegation to Kazakhstan. On the occasion of the successful delivery of the ASTANA multi-brand automotive plant, the team paid a special visit to senior executives of ASTANA Group and conducted an on-site inspection of the project. Zhang Bo, Deputy General Manager of AE, Chen Yong, Deputy Director of the Expert Advisory Committee, and heads of relevant departments accompanied the delegation.

The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Nurlan Smagulov, Founder of ASTANA Group, and Mr. Beknur Nesipbayev, CEO of ASTANA Motors. The two sides held candid and in-depth discussions covering the entire project execution process. Mr. Smagulov highly praised the AE team for their professional capabilities, pragmatic approach, and dedication during the project, and presented AE with the "Best Partner" Award. Dai Min accepted the award on behalf of AE and congratulated the team on the successful completion of the project. He also expressed gratitude to ASTANA Group for their understanding, trust, and support throughout the collaboration, and affirmed that AE is committed to continuously strengthening its friendly and trustworthy partnership with ASTANA Group, diligently ensuring robust post-delivery operations, and actively exploring opportunities for deeper and broader cooperation.

During the meetings, both sides also conducted detailed discussions on component business collaboration and potential cooperation models for future projects, expressing a shared intention to further deepen cooperation.

Subsequently, Dai Min and his delegation conducted a thorough on-site inspection of the welding, painting, and final assembly shops, as well as the administrative office area. They also reviewed the challenges encountered during the installation and commissioning phase and convened a site review meeting. Each professional project team systematically summarized key difficulties and lessons learned, and shared in-depth insights on their first experience under the "new region, new client, new business model" context, focusing on innovation in cooperation models, optimization of implementation processes, and cross-cultural management. Dai Min highly commended the team for their collaborative problem-solving capability and international execution standards, emphasizing the need to systematically distill lessons from overseas project management, ensure high-quality post-delivery services, and further promote cross-cultural integration.

Project overview:

The ASTANA multi-brand automotive plant project represents an important outcome of cooperation signed during the China–Central Asia Xi'an Summit, with AE responsible for overall design and supply of core workshop process equipment. As the largest and most modern automotive manufacturing facility in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, the project serves as a model of China–Kazakhstan cooperation in the automotive sector, and a landmark for AE in innovating cooperation models and expanding its international market presence. Through close collaboration and overcoming various challenges, the teams from both sides achieved high-quality, on-time delivery, laying a solid foundation for AE's participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and the development of its international business.
