Automotive Engineering Corporation Successfully Completes Upgrade and Renovation of BMW General Assembly Project in Mexico
Recently, the upgrade and renovation work of the BMW general assembly project in Mexico, undertaken by Automotive Engineering Corporation, was successfully completed. The achievement of this key milestone marks the full completion of the project's first-phase upgrade and renovation tasks.
As the first BMW conveying system EPC project undertaken by Automotive Engineering Corporation in Mexico, this upgrade and renovation covers four core sections: intelligent upgrade and renovation of the interior line skid conveyors, upgrade and new construction of the skid conveyor line's accompanying treadmill conveyors, relocation and renovation of the 12 V charging line, and new construction of the corridor body-in-white conveyor line. To ensure precise completion of the renovation within a short production shutdown period and a smooth resumption of operations, Automotive Engineering Corporation developed a detailed construction plan and comprehensive risk prevention and control measures in response to the customer's requirements for full-process, refined management, as well as the significant coordination challenges posed by a diverse construction team comprising European and local Mexican suppliers, providing solid assurance for the steady progress of the project.
Since the start of the upgrade and renovation work, the project team of Automotive Engineering Corporation has closely cooperated with foreign construction teams to efficiently complete all processes, such as old equipment dismantling, new equipment installation, system debugging, line restoration, and no-load testing. Ultimately, the production line renovation work was completed according to the planned nodes, and the predetermined goals were accurately achieved.
The successful completion of this upgrade and renovation has earned high recognition from the customer. BMW specially sent a letter of commendation to Automotive Engineering Corporation, in which it fully affirmed the project team's professional expertise, dedication, and outstanding achievements. This recognition not only reflects the successful outcomes of the collaboration between both parties but also injects strong confidence and solid momentum for the continued deepening of strategic cooperation in the future.
