One project of Automotive Engineering Corporation wins the Tianjin Science and Technology Award
Recently, the Tianjin Municipal People's Government announced the list of winners for the 2023 Tianjin Science and Technology Award. One achievement of Automotive Engineering Corporation R&D and Application of A Fully Modular Flexible Production System for Automotive Welding was awarded the second prize of the 2023 Tianjin Science and Technology Progress Award by the Tianjin Municipal People's Government.

Based on supporting the development of new intelligent manufacturing equipment in the country, the fully modular welding flexible production system developed in this project has established a welding production line technology system for ultra-high flexibility, independently developing matching automation equipment, and a digital shop intelligent management system, and it has broken through the three major bottlenecks of difficulty in compatibility with multiple models and platforms, difficulty in high-takt and high-precision matching, and difficulty in introduction of new models and platforms. The key technologies for system solutions created have achieved significant technological innovation in the integration of reconfigurable flexible manufacturing system, R&D of key production equipment, and has comprehensively promoted the intelligent manufacturing upgrade of high-end equipment for new energy vehicles.
This project has obtained 15 authorized invention patents, 6 utility model patents, 7 software copyrights, and formulation of 3 enterprise standards. The complete technological system of the achievements has been successfully applied in production projects of multiple world renowned automobile enterprises, with remarkable economic and social benefits.
