Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd. Establishes Strategic Partnership with Siemens
On June 23, Dai Min, Chairman of Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd. and Automotive Engineering Corporation, met with Peter Koerte, Member of the Global Managing Board, Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Technology Officer of Siemens AG, and his delegation at the headquarters of Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd. The two parties signed a strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding to jointly explore the development of a strategic partnership. Jia Yi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd., Xu Zhijun, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager, Zeng Yonghui, Assistant General Manager of Automotive Engineering Corporation, and Wan Bing and Jiang Chonglong, Senior Vice Presidents of Siemens, attended the ceremony.
Dai Min extended a warm welcome to Peter Koerte and his delegation, and introduced the basic situation and industrial layout of Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd. He noted that as a century-old enterprise, Siemens has consistently empowered China's high-quality development with its globally leading industrial technologies and governance and management experience. As a core enterprise under Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd. focusing on automotive engineering system services, Automotive Engineering Corporation has reached the international leading level in the three major process equipment and production line system integration fields of welding, painting, and general assembly, with its business covering more than 40 countries and regions globally, and has maintained a 30-year cooperation relationship with Siemens. The two parties have achieved fruitful results in providing efficient, lean, and intelligent system solutions in the automotive engineering field. Facing the new development stage, based on the existing good cooperation foundation and looking towards the "15th Five-Year Plan", the cooperation relationship will be further deepened to achieve a comprehensive upgrade of cooperation between the two parties in aspects such as software and hardware, system solutions, and strategic development in the automotive manufacturing industry.
Peter Koerte introduced the development of Siemens and exchanged views on three topics: globalization, understanding of the automotive industry, and future technologies and opportunities. He expressed that in the future, he looks forward to further strengthening the depth of cooperation between the two parties, jointly facing industry challenges, sharing new development opportunities, and jointly promoting technological breakthroughs and industrial upgrades in the electrification and intelligence transformation of the automotive industry, injecting more innovative vitality into the market, and building a more resilient industrial chain ecosystem.
According to the memorandum, under the wave of accelerating global competition and green and intelligent transformation of industries, the landscape of the automotive industry is undergoing profound reshaping. Based on the consensus of deeply complementary industrial chain ecosystem resources and core competitiveness in industrial digitization, the two parties decided to establish a strategic partnership. They will jointly share experience in deepening international layout, leading digital transformation, jointly expanding the automotive industry, and building management and innovation capabilities, unleash collaborative potential, and contribute a new benchmark paradigm for the innovation and upgrade of the global automotive industry value chain.
The persons in charge of the Directors Board Office (Strategic Investment Department) of Sinomach Automobile Co., Ltd., the Industry Director of Siemens Digital Industry Group, business partners of Advanta (China), and relevant personnel participated in the event.
