Automotive Engineering Corporation Participates in the 2024 Equipment Manufacturing Forum
Known as the City of Mountains and Waters and the Metropolis of Charm, Chongqing hosted the grand opening of the 2024 Equipment Manufacturing Forum on December 3. Sponsored by the China Machinery Industry Federation, this forum is themed "Better Equipment, A More Beautiful World − Intelligence, Green Development, and Integration". Concurrently, it hosted the Advanced Equipment Manufacturing Industry Expo in 2024, inviting over 100 key enterprises and institutions in the sector to discuss industry trends and seek common development of the industry. Zhang Xiaolun, Chairman of Sinomach was invited to attend the main forum and deliver a keynote speech. Automotive Engineering Corporation participated in this expo and gave a keynote speech at the sub-forum on Intelligent Design and Production of the forum.
In his speech, Zhang Xiaolun stated that China National Machinery Industry Corporation has a broad vision of "both the domestic and international situations", keeps in mind "the country’s most fundamental interests", focuses on three main business areas including advanced equipment manufacturing, research and services for industrial foundations, and engineering contracting and supply chain, and actively fulfills its mission and responsibilities, continuously enhancing its core functions and competitiveness and actively serving as the main force in the construction of new industrialization.
Drawing on the Group's long-standing efforts in promoting the construction of a manufacturing powerhouse, actively building strategic scientific and technological strength, and accelerating the cultivation of new drivers of growth, Zhang Xiaolun shared insights on accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the equipment manufacturing industry and actively fostering the development of new productive forces. He pointed out that the Group should:
Adhere to innovation-driven development through scientific and technological advancement, reinforce the role of enterprises as the main body, enhance research in industrial foundations and common technologies, and strengthen the pre-research of forward-looking technologies, injecting vitality and momentum into the cultivation and development of new quality productive forces;
Adhere to the directions of high-end, intelligent, and green development to transform and upgrade traditional industries, nurture and expand emerging industries, and facilitate a shift in development methods, clarifying the path for cultivating and developing new quality productive forces;
Rely on the development of high-level talent teams as support, actively cultivate and expand strategic talent resources, improve mechanisms for talent selection, employment, and development, and foster a positive innovation atmosphere, creating a favorable environment for cultivating and developing new quality productive forces.
China National Machinery Industry Corporation, invited as both a supporting organization and a key exhibitor for the forum, showcased its offerings in an exhibition area spanning nearly 450 square meters. As one of the nine representative enterprises of the Group participating in the expo, Automotive Engineering Corporation showcased its latest explorations and significant achievements in intelligent automobile manufacturing through sand table models, videos, and display boards, which attracted considerable attention from numerous attendees.

In the sand table exhibition area, Automotive Engineering Corporation highlighted its Automatic Assembly Solution for AE Body Sides and Doors. This solution achieves optimal gap and flushness through visual data acquisition and AI algorithms and achieves an automated assembly system for hinges, doors, and bodies through two different processes. The system can achieve an automation rate of 60% to 85%, effectively reducing labor by 50% to 60%, and improving the stability of assembly precision by 15% to 20%. At present, this solution has been successfully applied to three automatic assembly lines in China.
At the sub-forum on Intelligent Design and Production, Ruan Bing, Deputy General Manager Chief Engineer of Automotive Engineering Corporation delivered a keynote speech titled Technological Exploration and Challenges in Large-Scale Flexible Production of Automobiles, sharing the latest exploration achievements and practical experience of Automotive Engineering Corporation in the field of automotive engineering.
